Community voices bring The Wind in the Willows to life on the Wear, celebrating Sunderland’s stories, culture, and local talent.

Featuring stories created and performed by the community, Atlas Theatre Company CIC’s Willows on the Wear reimagines The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame along the banks of the River Wear, celebrating our local history and culture.

​

The production showcases work from local artists including Nicola Leonard, Andy J Fraser, students from the University of Sunderland, and features the voice of local legend and SAFC commentator Nick Barnes.

​

When Mole leaves her burrow, she finds adventure on the Wear with Rat, Badger, and Toad, uncovering the stories of the river and its community.

All proceeds support Atlas Theatre Company CIC’s mission to provide accessible creative opportunities across the North East.
